West Palm Beach, FL - Vacation & Beach Wedding Photographer
"Just when the caterpillar thought the world was over, it became a butterfly."
Before I moved to West Palm Beach, FL almost 4 years ago, I lived in Miami, FL. In Miami, I used to photograph everything you can imagine. I had no clue how to run or even structure a business. I just knew I wanted to be a photographer and I didn’t want to work for anybody else but myself. As a result, I got burned out. The last year in Miami before we moved was very rough. I had anxiety, I was so stressed, I wasn’t doing photography and even went to the hospital thinking I was having a heart attack when in fact I was having a panic attack. I feared for my health and my life, which was what determined our move.
I couldn’t believe that my dream of living on the water could actually come true, let alone that we could afford it AND we’d be saying money. It was a hidden blessing for sure and God had his plans for me. After a year of healing, and coming out of my own skin, I knew I had to give my dream of becoming a photographer another chance. This time I knew I wanted to create a business I loved not just photograph everything. I wanted to somehow combine my love for this beautiful city on the water and my love for creating memories for people. After a lot of research and soul searching I decided I wanted to become a photographer who primarily caters to families on vacation and couples getting married on the beach.
I was very excited and finally felt like I had found my niche. I wanted to pour my heart into my business, learn EVERYTHING to actually grow it while doing what I love. I STILL have so much to learn but I am committed to do things right.
It has been 3 years of VERY hard work, learning settings, lighting, going to business seminars, learning social media, marketing, being brave and following my heart. And most importantly, resting not quitting when I feel exhausted. My business is just a baby and I have BIG DREAMS for it. I am so so so so grateful to all the families and couples who give me a chance to create memories for them, live my dreams and build a business that I am proud of in the city that has my heart.
XO
Lynn
